Booking

In addition to singing with Coralspin and function bands, Ellie is available for all kinds of session work -- advertising, TV and film music, band recording sessions (lead or backing vocals), jingles and imaging, stand-in gigs, corporate work, library music, songwriters wanting a singer for their demo, promos, function band work, performing local compositions on radio, etc. She has the patience, enthusiasm, adaptability and down-to-earth humour required to handle any sort of situation. Her rates are very competitive -- e-mail her for a quote (this is negotiable, as she will compete on price).

She can sing most styles with great aplomb, especially ballads, pop, jazz, opera, 30's/40's songs, etc. She is a superb sight-reader, and has a music degree from one of the top music departments in the U.K. (where she was classmates and friends with one of the Opera Babes). She's also a classically-trained pianist and oboeist.

She was taught by the legendary mezzo-soprano Jean Allister, and has won numerous prestigious singing competitions. She has sung in a wide variety of venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the Jacqueline Du Pre Concert Hall, and at pop music festivals. She was a regular soloist with the acclaimed Oxford Pro Musica Singers, and has sang on some of their recordings. She has sung at a number of celebrity weddings and has performed modern classical works on radio.

Ellie has an impeccable sense of timing, and in the studio she is usually a "one-take" singer. She has great control over her voice, which means that in addition to being spot-on with her tuning she can perform seamless double-tracking with ease. She is an accomplished harmony singer who can invent wonderful-sounding harmonies on the spot. And as a creative type herself who writes songs, she's always happy to come up with ideas when asked to help the session. She can develop vocal arrangements for you if required, often on the spot.

She has her own pro-quality home studio and if you prefer you can send her a .wav or mp3 file (preferably with a second copy that has a guide vocal, plus a description of the requirements) which she will record vocals against. She will then send you back a vocal file in the format and sample rate of your choice. This can also be put onto a dedicated page on her website in double-quick time for you to download ASAP. (High-quality reverb and compression and other processing can be added if desired for no extra cost).

Ellie can be contacted on (0115) 928 7925 or 07941 503509, or e-mail ellie [at] ellieblyth [dot] com.
